Get ready for an explosion of creativity in SUMMER FRIDAYS, a one-day pop-up class designed for drop-ins or a Summer Camp add-on day! This dynamic workshop invites young artists to dive into a world of artistic exploration and experimentation. From painting and collage to sculpture and more, participants will have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums and techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors. With hands-on activities and engaging demonstrations, students will explore their imagination, create unique masterpieces, and take home a collection of artwork that showcases their individuality. Don't miss this chance to drop in for some summer fun!
CLASS FORMAT
This event is conducted in Galveston Arts Center’s studio classroom located on the second floor of GAC.
POLICIES
ENROLLMENT DEADLINE is the Monday before the scheduled Friday Workshop. Late enrollment may be accepted, however some materials may not be ready at first class.
Missed classes will not be refunded.
Classes are not recorded for virtual students. Live participation is necessary.
In the rare event of cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, a reasonable effort will be made to schedule a make-up class session on an alternate date, or the class fee (less any classes already held) will be credited to the customer’s account.
Group communications/announcements are conducted by email to the address entered at registration. Individual communications may be handled by phone/text.

GAC Members enjoy 20% off of tuition. You must sign in with the email associated with your membership account to receive the discount. Full-time students, teachers/professors, and parents who homeschool can join at the Student/Educator level for just $30/year.
For liability reasons, please do not register a student who is a minor unless you are their parent or legal guardian.
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TEENS
Teachers, counsellors, etc. may nominate a student with whom they are professionally acquainted for a scholarship if they can attest to the the student’s interest in the subject and financial need. The student’s parent/legal guardian will be notified and given further instructions. You may not nominate your own child, dependent, or other close relation.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Jessica Ninci (rhymes with DaVinci) is a local artist who specializes in ceramics, with an extensive and growing list of solo and group exhibitions in Galveston and Houston. She teaches or has taught studio art (drawing and painting) art history, and art appreciation at several area colleges, and also teaches studio art at the Glassell Junior Art School in addition to her classes and workshops at Galveston Arts Center.
