Thursdays from 4-6 PM
March 3 - April 14, 2022* | 6 weeks
For ages 13 - 18
Join ceramicist Jessica Ninci in this 6-week course exploring the design and production of clay objects. Using white earthenware clay, students will take inspiration from art history and contemporary art to produce fun and functional ceramic projects like pots, tiles and sculptures, building clay skills along the way.
This hand-building class incorporates various construction techniques (slab method, coil method) and surface techniques, including pattern stamping, relief drawing and glazing.
Both directed projects and experimentation will be supported and encouraged at each student's skill level. Pieces will be clear-glazed and fired, and ready for pick-up by 4/25.
All materials and supplies for this class are included with registration.
