Crafternoons is the perfect place for artists who love hands-on creativity! Each week, you’ll make a brand-new project, using different materials and techniques to create something totally unique. From handmade accessories to personalized decor, every session will inspire you to explore and express your own style. A new teaching artist will guide you through your projects each week, sharing tips and tricks along the way. By the end of the semester, you’ll have a collection of one-of-a-kind creations to keep or gift!
All materials and supplies for this class are included with registrations.

interactive workshop titled What We Carry, where personal stories and shared experiences weave together into a vibrant tapestry of community art. This session invites participants to explore the intimate connections that bind us, regardless of our varied backgrounds or life journeys. In this come and go workshop you will meet the artist, explore her work while also participate in creating one of her interactive community art pieces. Every participant will leave with their own individual accordion book—a personal memento capturing the workshop’s creative journey and a tangible reminder of the connections we forged together. This workshop is not only an artistic endeavor but a heartfelt exploration of what we carry within us all. Whether through spoken word, visual art, or tactile objects, join us in celebrating the narratives that define and connect us. We look forward to creating something truly meaningful together.
COASTAL KEEPSAKES

Coastal Keepsakes is a hands-on workshop where participants transform oyster shells into beautiful, decorative art using decoupage techniques, vibrant papers, and metallic accents. PAINTING with INDIA INK

ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOP

Paint with wax! Photo Encaustic Art Workshop
Turn your own photos into encaustic works of art with Shauna Marie! In this workshop, participants will create (2), 5x5 encaustic photos on wood panels.
In this specialty workshop, you’ll be using your own photos (turned black & white) and oil sticks of all colors to create beautifully layered compositions! The end results will remind you of the timeless hand-painted photographs of the late 1800's but with a modern twist! We offer an assortment of supplies, but you are welcome to bring more; your favorite tissue paper (plain or pattern); favorite writings, quotes, poems, magazine cutouts, hand-made papers, fabric, etc. Essentially, if you like scrapbooking or journaling, this workshop is for you! Make sure to check your email after registration for a photo request from Shauna. Once she receives your images she will edit and get them printed for the event.
This 3 hour workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting. All supplies included.

CHARCOAL STILL LIFE DRAWING

In this guided workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of charcoal still life drawing—from quick gesture sketches to detailed value work. Through live demonstration and hands-on practice, participants will explore techniques like proportion measuring, blending, and reductive highlighting to bring their compositions to life. All levels are welcome, and each artist will leave with a finished, fixative-sealed drawing ready to take home.

ENROLLMENT DEADLINE: April 26th
Late enrollment may be accepted for some workshops, however some materials may not be ready at first class.
Missed classes will not be refunded.
In the rare event of cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, a reasonable effort will be made to schedule a make-up class session on an alternate date, or the class fee (less any classes already held) will be credited to the customer’s account.
Group communications/announcements are conducted by email to the address entered at registration. Individual communications may be handled by phone/text.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Teachers, counsellors, etc. may nominate a student with whom they are professionally acquainted for a partial scholarship if they can attest to the the student’s interest in the subject and financial need. The student’s parent/legal guardian will be notified and given further instructions. You may not nominate your own child, dependent, or other close relation.
