Join fiber artist, Kristen Williams, in this fiber art series workshop where you’ll learn the how to hand-weave coiled baskets. Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop will guide you through the entire basket-making process. By the end of the course, you’ll design and create your own beautiful, functional basket, choosing between adding handles or crafting a lidded vessel.

HAND WOVEN WALL TEXTILE

In this 4-week fiber art series, you will design and craft an original wall textile using modern macrame techniques. Through mastering four foundational macramé knots, you’ll build both technique and creativity as you bring your own textile vision to life. From hands-on knotting practice to exploring inspiration and design, this class offers a blend of skill-building and artistic expression suitable for all levels. By the end of the series, you'll have a one of a kind crafted textile, reflecting your personal style and newly acquired macramé skills.

CLASS FORMAT

This event is conducted in Galveston Arts Center’s studio classroom located on the second floor of GAC. All materials are provided for this course.

POLICIES

• ENROLLMENT DEADLINE: January 17th. Late enrollment IS accepted, however some materials may not be ready at first class.

• There are no refunds on registration fees, no exceptions.

• In the rare event of cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, a reasonable effort will be made to schedule a make-up class session on an alternate date, or the class fee (less any classes already held) will be credited to the customer’s account.

• Group communications/announcements are conducted by email to the address entered at registration. Individual communications may be handled by phone/text.
