Welcome to Museum Day at GAC! Join us for a free, come-and-go community art activity day at the Galveston Arts Center! This family-friendly event is the perfect way to explore your creativity and engage with art inspired by our current exhibitions by Jessica Kruetter and Tammie Brown. Visitors can choose one of two hands-on, exhibit-connected activities designed to connect you in the themes and styles of these inspiring artists.

Work at your own pace in a welcoming environment, and take home a unique creation to remember your day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with art, spend quality time with family and friends, and support your local arts community.


CLASS FORMAT

This come & go workshop is conducted in Galveston Arts Center’s studio classroom located on the second floor of GAC.

POLICIES

  • Enrollment not necessary, however RSVPing does help us prepare for your arrival!

  • Donations accept; Donations can be made in person at GAC’s donation box, or online at https://www.galvestonartscenter.org/donate

  • In the rare event of GAC cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, this event will not be rescheduled.

  • Group communications are conducted through email. Please check your inbox for announcements.

DISCOUNTS
GAC Members enjoy 20% off of tuition. You must sign in with the email associated with your membership account to receive the discount. Full-time students, teachers/professors, and parents who homeschool can join at the Student/Educator level for just $30/year.

For liability reasons, please do not register a student who is a minor unless you are their parent or legal guardian.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID FOR ART CLASSES
GAC offers needs-based and merit-based financial support for art programs. Teachers, counsellors, etc. may nominate a student with whom they are professionally acquainted for a merit-based scholarship if they can attest to the the student’s interest in the subject and financial need. The student’s parent/legal guardian will be notified and given further instructions. You may not nominate your own child, dependent, or other close relation. Needs-based support is dependent on GAC’s scholarship fund and family’s application. For more information email Director of Education.
