For students who have previously participated in an Immersive Drawing program

Join us for an exhilarating week of artistic exploration and intensive training in our Immersive Drawing Spring Break Intensive program!

Designed for students who have previously attended an Immersive Drawing program and are eager to delve deeper into their artistic practice, this one-week intensive is the perfect opportunity to focus and sharpen your skills under the guidance of professional artist Elizabeth Punches. Throughout the week, students will have the freedom to set their own pace as they work on projects tailored to their interests and skill levels. Whether you're aiming to refine your technique, experiment with new mediums, or explore advanced concepts, this program will provide you with the support and resources you need to realize your artistic vision.

As the week progresses, students will have the opportunity to develop 1-3 pieces of artwork, culminating in a final exhibition and auction Saturday evening. This exciting event will showcase the incredible talent and hard work of our students, providing them with a platform to share their work with the community and have an opportunity to experience some of the entrepreneurial facets of being a professional artist.

THIS CLASS INCLUDES HOMEWORK!

Students will improve much faster when they complete the assigned exercises. Think of it like a music class; you wouldn’t expect to make progress if you never practiced your instrument between classes, right? Drawing is no different!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Elizabeth Punches is a figurative painter based in Galveston, Texas, where she lives downtown with her two dogs in a live/workspace operated by ArtSpace. Her background is in traditional oil painting and she makes her living on private and public commissions; she also enjoys working on community art projects and quirky side projects (or sometimes both at once!) Elizabeth’s favorite part of teaching is helping young artists have those “ah-ha!” breakthrough moments. Her street-level studio on the east side of 23rd St. next to Old Moon Deli is open to visitors most days during business hours when she isn’t teaching.
