Galveston Life Drawing meets in the GAC studio for two hours most Monday afternoons. Live models pose for short “gestures” and longer poses of up to 45 minutes. Focus is on study of the human figure in its natural state; models typically pose nude or, occasionally, semi-clothed or “draped.”
Artists are invited to bring their own materials and supplies. Art supplies are also available in our ArtWorks gift shop on the first floor. Our spacious, well-lit studio is equipped with 8 standing easels and 16 adjustable-angle drafting tables.
This is an artist-led activity, not a formal class. Work at your own pace and in your preferred medium.
